On both Wii U and 3DS you can blow into the microphone to activate platforms. On the Wii U the gamepad touch screen moves platforms. The levels for 3DS and Switch are identical. Toad can pull up plants from the ground, find coins or turnips to throw at enemies, use his pickaxe to clear out certain obstacles and enemies. Using the camera, you look around the structures and find hidden areas that may contain coins or the gold star.
